Experimental Turntablism Workshop

For the duration of the workshop the participants were called to experiment with the turntable and various records, cutting them up, preparing them, creating new surfaces and exploring new ways of interacting with the medium, ultimately turning it into a musical instrument.

At the end of the workshop the participants had a chance to perform short improvised duets for two turntables. The night was concluded with a free improvisation performance of double-bass, cracked media duet KOHMA. There was also a soul kitchen intermission curated by the food alchemist and sound experimentalist Virginie Viel.
